Dress: Local secondhand boutique
Shoes: Payless
Clutch: My mom made it
Necklace: My mom's (formerly my aunt's)
Ring: Also my mom's
This dress was a great find. It was a big surprise too. It was a little store nearby that I hadn't noticed before but I saw a dress in the window that looked promising so I went in. It paid off!
The clutch provided a nice pop of color. This makes an outfit more interesting.
Other ways you could add color include, but are not limited to: shoes, ring, earrings, hair clip (like a big flower or something), necklace or bracelet.
It is easy to do with a plain colored or a black and white outfit, like this. Pick a complementary color and incorporate it throughout your outfit!
There are two more points I want to touch on.
First, Target has a bunch of cute, modest skirts right now so check it out!
Second is a fashion trend I've noticed recently. I've noticed that some girls wear leggings to replace pants. I know this can be a controversial topic because it wouldn't be something one would necessarily think of as immodest to begin with but do not to do it. It hugs your body in ways that it shouldn't and I think it is just awkward for everyone around you who looks at that. This is just my opinion. By no means am I saying that leggings are evil either. They can be used to make an outfit modest in some cases. I just wanted to stress that they shouldn't replace pants.
Have a splendid day!
